Welcome to Ladyfish Charters!
Hi, I'm Captain Lori Deaton of Ladyfish Charters. I have been guiding anglers of all skill levels throughout Tampa Bay and it's tributaries since 1999. I specialize in inshore shallow water fishing using light tackle and near-shore using medium to heavy tackle. As your energetic, enthusiastic guide I will share my knowledge with you while demonstrating the importance of conserving and preserving our waterways and it's inhabitants. I pride myself in taking great measure in the assurance of your safety as well as your satisfaction.
Among the many species my charter service targets are snook, trout, redfish, cobia, tarpon, snapper, grouper, triple tail, & sheepshead. Whether myself and my clients are fishing a peaceful mangrove shoreline in search of the steely snook or the aquatic wonderland of a rich oyster bar seeking redfish, a lush grass flat seeking trout using light tackle; scouring channel markers chasing cobia, or sandy beaches for tarpon using medium to heavy tackle, you can be confident that I will work extremely hard at giving you your optimal day on the water while making sure you have an absolute blast!
One of my biggest accomplishments in life and the one that brings me the greatest joy is being the Founder and Director of Hooked on Hope www.hookedonhope.org Hooked on Hope was founded in 2008. A local non-profit organization that raises funds through an annual inshore fishing tournament to benefit the breast cancer patients at the University of South Florida's Breast Health Center and breast cancer patients throughout our local communities . As a guide that was invited to fish in many local charitable events, the thought occurred to me that no one was doing a charitable fishing event to benefit breast cancer patients. As soon as that idea hit my mind and found it's way to my heart, I knew I had to make it happen. It didn't take long for me to partner with USF Breast Health because they were blessed to have the leadership of world renowned breast cancer surgeon, Dr. Charles Cox. The blessings continued as my search for a strong committee has landed me not only just that, but some of the most valuable friendships I could ever ask for. I "hope" that you will take the time to check out our website and "Get Hooked on Hope!"
As a proud member of the following organizations, I am committed to both the leadership and importance of the conservation associated with being a United States Coast Guard Licensed Captain:
